Shortly after joining the Central Intelligence Agency, operative Mark Ruttenberg is given the task of reviewing some old case files in preparation for his upcoming assignment. He discovers an odd link between a former case officer and one of his informants. Yet Mark gets ship off to his new post, where he quickly ingratiates himself with the country's most powerful people. Then he falls for the wrong woman, and the agency, convinced his cover is blown, brings him home. He gets a mysterious postcard with just an address on it. Mark will have to decide if righting an old wrong is worth taking a terrible risk.
