Verde's Vacation is the heartwarming story of a Saguaro cactus that is tired of living in the desert. He wants to swim, hike, and play in the snow. He decides to leave his family and friends in the desert, and go to higher country. After he sees his first snowfall, he vows never to return to the desert. Verde soon learns that cold weather is no place for a cactus. He is happy to return to his beloved desert, vowing never to leave. After being home for several months, he hears tourists talking about a place called New York. Will Verde leave the desert again?
