This ninth issue of Copperopolis features poetry written by participants during the four poetry workshops held during April?s National Poetry Month at the Copper Queen Library. Logan Phillips started off the month with an intense writing session on Divinatory Poetics, followed by returning poet and librarian, Julie Swarstad Johnson leading a workshop on The Night Sky in Poetry. Next, Mari Herreras led Community Through Poetry which included a prompt of writing another poet?s biography. Kelsi Vanada finished out the month with Piecing Poems Together, utilizing other found texts to inspire or incorporate into the writing.
