Resumen

When a Russian pogrom destroys young Lillian Leyb's family, she comes to America alone, determined to make her way in a new land. But when word comes out that her daughter Sophie might still be alive, Lillian embarks on an odyssey that takes her from the world of New York's Yiddish theater all the way to Alaska.
